On Saturday, the final components of a bridge spanning Wolf Creek will be installed, connecting pieces of the Loma Rica Trail in Glenbrook Basin.

The trail is being built by the Nevada County Land Trust, local volunteers and business sponsors.

Casa di Terra is using local rock for the bridge, and Casey Wood Lumber has contributed the wooden structure. The Forest Trails Alliance crew milled all the lumber.

The trail connects Glenbrook Basin to Greenhorn Road.

“Eventually, this land trust project will connect to the Empire Mine State Historic Park and points beyond,” land trust officials said Thursday.

The bridge is beside Brunswick and Idaho-Maryland roads.
