Alta Sierrans to hold town hall
The Alta Sierra Property Owners Association is hosting its annual Town Hall meeting at 6 p.m. March 10 at the Alta Sierra Country Club. The event is an opportunity for residents to meet their representatives and discuss issues important to their community. Light refreshments will be served.
Representatives will include Nevada Countys District 2 Supervisor Ed Scofield, officers from the California Highway Patrol and county Sheriffs Office and a representative from the county sanitation department.
Each will describe their primary responsibilities and answer questions from residents.
Questions may be sent in advance.

Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts invite
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County will present an information night from 5:30 to 6 p.m. March 16 at the Tahoe Womens Service Offices, at 12257 Business Park Drive, Unit 4 in Truckee.
The informational session is for anyone interested in hearing more about the local work of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County and how to get involved. No commitment is required, and families, teachers and agencies in the community that know of or work with youth and anyone else who is interested is encouraged to attend.
