A free boot camp for entrepreneurs and small business owners will be held the fourth week in March in Nevada City.
Participants will learn how to create a strategic business plan, provide a roadmap that will make their business dreams come true.
This three-day course will cover market analysis, marketing strategies, finances, business law, pitfalls of small business and much more. Participants will expand their expertise, explore new opportunities, gain new resources, mingle with peers and maximize their opportunities for success.
They will learn from a cadre of talented business instructors, whom they will meet in one-on-one counseling. Its sponsored by the Sierra Economic Development Corporation, 560 Wall Street, Suite F, Auburn.
This boot camp is geared for the serious business owner, entrepreneurs and start-up business owners. In Nevada County, the course will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 24-26 at Nevada City Hall, 317 Broad St., Nevada City, with camps in Plumas and Sierra Counties following. Lunch, dinner and homework are included.
The Business Boot Camp is funded by the Department of Labor ETA and WIRED funds. The Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) initiative was created in 2006 to integrate economic and workforce development activities; its goal is to demonstrate that talent development can drive economic transformation in regional economies across the United States.
