Roilynn Carpenter of Loomis and Kevin Michael Bennett (pictured) of Grass Valley were married Sept. 13, 2008 at J Kissler Ranch in Grass Valley. Michael Malarae, a good friend ordained for the day, officiated.
The maid of honor was Tamra Mello of Grass Valley. The bridesmaids were Trisha Jackson of Rocklin, cousin of the bride, Sara Carpenter of Grass Valley, sister in law of the bride, and Kelly Brown of Lewiston, Maine, sister of the groom. The best man was Josh Moore of Grass Valley. The groomsmen were Travis Carpenter of Grass Valley, brother of the bride, Garrett Cox of Grass Valley and Mark Boon of Grass Valley.
Other attendants included Jennifer Cody of Isleton, sister of the bride, and Pete Ruiz of Grass Valley.
Special guests included Janette Lager of Auburn, grandmother of the bride, John Fergueson of Virginia, and Dan and Mary Ellen Ruggiero of Massachusetts.
The bride is the daughter of Pattie Ratcliffe and Ed Carpenter.
She is a 1993 graduate of Bear River High School, and a 2002 graduate of Cabrillo College. She works at Sutter Roseville Hospital Radiology Tech.
The groom is the son of Jose and Yolande Bennett (both deceased).
He attended Lewiston High School in Maine, and Sacramento State. He works as a fitness director and personal trainer at Monster Gym and South Yuba Club.
The couple honeymooned in Tulum, Mexico, and reside in Loomis.
