In this season of light, I’d like to point to a new “light” in this community — the Sierra Master Chorale. Their recent debut was a wonderfully programmed and skillfully performed concert under the excellent direction of Ken Hardin.

As a board member of Twin Cities Concert Association, I felt proud of our affiliation with this wonderful group of singers. These are people who love to sing so much that they organized themselves, sought sponsors and advertisers, and went after the best (Ken Hardin) to lead them.

Thank you to Sierra Master Chorale and Ken Hardin for all your hard work that resulted in a beautiful and much appreciated holiday concert. Also, thank you to Citizens Bank for being their corporate sponsor.

This chorale will present another concert in the spring, and my bet is that there isn’t a venue large enough to house all who will want to attend.
