Grass Valley Police Department

Thursday

6:36 a.m. — A caller from the 600 block of Walsh Street reported a man hiding in the bathroom.

7:55 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Race Street reported syringes laying on the sidewalk.

8:12 a.m. — A caller from the Highway 49 overpass at South Auburn Street reported a woman walking on the freeway. She was escorted off the freeway.

9:28 a.m. — A woman reported her granddaughter was receiving messages from her ex-husband in defiance of a no-contact order. The granddaughter was booked on an outstanding warrant for driving under the influence.

11:22 a.m. — A caller from a business on McKnight Way reported a woman was outside shouting profanities and would not leave.

1:02 p.m. — A caller from Bennett Street at Highway 49 reported a man in a red bandanna yelling at traffic.

1:37 p.m. — A woman from the 500 block of South Auburn Street reported people were following her and that one possibly was a private investigator.

3:07 p.m. — A woman reported she purchased a warranty from Weavers Truck and Auto on her new vehicle and has been told the warranty was not valid. She was advised to contact the Board of Automotive Repairs.

4:27 p.m. — A woman from a business in the 500 block of Sutton Way reported she found her wallet wide open on the floor toward the rear of the business, but it did not appear anything was taken.

4:44 p.m. — A caller reported a woman in her late 50s backed into the caller’s vehicle multiple times on the Highway 20 overpass at Highway 49, then drove away.

5:20 p.m. — A caller from Walsh Street and South School Street reported a storm drain had been pulled up and was in the road.

6:22 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Bennett Street reported loud music. The band stopped playing for the night.

7:49 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported a 14-year-old was home alone with friends and was harassing the caller.

Friday

1:26 a.m. — A woman from the 200 block of Joerschke reported a banging noise that sounded as if the upstairs neighbors were moving furniture and keeping her up.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

Thursday

9:30 a.m. — A caller from the 12000 block of Sunset Avenue reported credit card fraud.

12:14 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Ridge Road reported her husband was threatening to blow up the house. A loud bang was heard in the background before the line was disconnected. Everything was O.K. when sheriff’s deputies arrived.

3:35 p.m. — A woman from the 10000 block of Elder Drive reported a man was banging on her door and looking in her windows, “acting angry.” She reported this had happened twice.

4:01 p.m. — A man from the 26000 block of Sweet Road reported a trespasser had cut his lock on his unimproved property and replaced it with a different lock.

4:15 p.m. — A man from the 14000 block of Monte Vista Drive reported his neighbors had bent the posts on either side of his driveway.

6:39 p.m. — A caller from Cement Hill Road and Foster Driveway reported a white van parked for several days, with people in and out of the van for several days. People were believed to be sleeping in the van and possibly doing drugs. A note on the van said it needed repair and would be towed as soon as possible.

9:01 p.m. — A caller from Highway 20 reported a man in a black Toyota 4Runner was using meth and had an 8-year-old boy with him. A deputy found the report was unfounded.

10:17 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Highway 174 reported four youths walking through the campus of Union Hill School.

11:47 p.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Squirrel Creek Road reported a fight involving five men.
