Edna Berriman
Edna M. Berriman, a Grass Valley resident for over 56 years, died Oct. 19 at Mercy Hospital of Folsom. She was 85.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at New Elm Ridge Cemetery, Kidder Ave., Grass Valley. Pastor John Alspaugh of the Grass Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate.

Mrs. Berriman was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Sutter to Fritz Ludwig and Enid Alinore (Burggraf) Ziegenmeyer. She was a high school graduate and received some college education. She married Robert Berriman on Oct. 2, 1949, in Sutter. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and enjoyed crocheting and knitting, vegetable gardening, sewing, bible groups and prayer meetings, and helping others in the community.
Mrs. Berriman is survived by her brothers Alan Ziegenmeyer of Valley Center, William Ziegenmeyer of Sutter and Jerome Ziegenmeyer of Yuba City; son, David Berriman of Arcata; daughter, Louise Berriman of Rancho Cordova; granddaughter, Emily Montandon of Rancho Cordova; great-grandson, Andrew Tolamatl-Maya of Rancho Cordova; great-granddaughter, Magdelena Tolamatl-Maya of Rancho Cordova, and grandson-in-law, Rodrigo Tolamatl-Maya.
