Congressional rep should live here

Print Comment
My congressman must be an integral part of Nevada County and know all of California District 4.

That means dedication to, living, working and raising a family here, and for the long term. Our congressperson must know the difference between the Golden State Freeway and the Golden Empire, and know the discrete issues facing our rural mountain folk as well as the ability to find Alturas, Susanville, Quincy and other towns without a local guide and map.

Those criteria leave but one choice: Charlie Brown.

Charlie's opponent's scurrilous TV garbage insults all veterans who support our troops but question the efficacy of this contrived war. McClintock's non-ever serving in itself may only be circumstance, but his consistent voting against all legislation assisting dead and wounded veterans and their families is unforgivable callousness.

Please vote for local congressional candidate Charlie Brown, and tell the other guy to carry his carpetbag and belly up to some other public trough.

Don M. Foster, Ph.D. and World War II Veteran
