RE: ‘Economic realities of universal health insurance’

I did not need to read past the title of Anthony Halby’s Other Voices column to find what I needed to refute it. Many people, including our esteemed “governator” and both presidential candidates, speak of the need for universal health insurance. I don’t know how much the insurance companies rake off the top but I would be surprised if it is less than 50 percent. I do not believe that a productive dialogue about universal health care is possible without determining how to rid ourselves of these leeches.
