The Roadrunners

Sept. 8: Salad potluck at Condon Park. A-R bring a salad, R-Z bring a dessert. Please also bring your own table service. Club furnishes coffee and punch.

Dec. 13: The Nutcracker performed by the Sacramento Ballet Co. at the Sacramento Community Center Theater. Matinee performance after hosted lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

Jan. 7: Buck Institute for Age Research. Nestled in the hills above Novato in Marin County, The Buck Institute, designed by world famous architect I.M. Pei, is a privately owned and operated research facility devoted to understanding and finding cures for age related diseases. We will tour the labs and get latest information about Alzheimer's, cancer, stroke, and explore the biological mysteries of aging.

Feb. 6: Feather Falls Casino, cash back and food discount coupon.

Feb. 24: Sierra Nevada Brewery tour and lunch. Migratory Birds and Spring Blossom tour of the Chico area.

March 17-18: Angel Island Extravaganza. Dinner at Forbes Island Restaurant in San Francisco Bay, overnight at the Lodge at Tiburon, ferry to Angel Island, docent led tram tour of Angel Island.

Sept. 7-19, 2009: National Parks including Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Buffalo Jeep Safari in Custer National Park, Presidents' Park, Mt. Rushmore lighting ceremony, Crazy Horse Monument, Estes Park Aerial Tram Ride, Salt Lake City tour and a performance by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and much more.

Nevada County Travel Club

Nevada County Travel Club has a new Travel Director. Please direct your tour inquiries to Brenda Shilling at 432-5362. The club's annual birthday luncheon will be on Sept. 10 at the Grass Valley United Methodist Church. Call Pat Tackett at 274-9565 for necessary reservations.

Sept. 13: A Night in Old Napoli. Dinner and concert benefiting Dutch Flat Museum

Sept. 25: "Round the World in Eight Hours. Tour to Lodi Zoo, Locke Tour and lunch, Clarksburg's Sugarmill.

Oct. 5: Afternoon in Norway. Lunch and cultural event

Oct. 30: Mystery Tour.

Nov. 21: Texas Christmas. Evening in Woodland including coach, barbecue dinner, opening night of Tuna Christmas at Opera House.

Dec. 3-8: Collette Vacations "San Antonio Holiday." Roundtrip shuttles to Sacramento and San Antonio airports, pre-tour night at SMF Hotel, four nights. Hotel on famed River Walk, tour of San Antonio and Texas Hill Country, entrances to historical sites and museums, TexMex cooking class and meal.
