If you've been planning to get a pet, consider going to the dog adopt-a-thon from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Incredible Pets in Grass Valley.
Scooter's Pals and Chows Plus, both local dog rescue groups, are hosting the event.
"We'll have puppies (and) little, medium and big dogs looking for good homes," said Susan Wallace, founder of Scooter's Pals. "We'll also provide microchipping services to the community's animals during this event and at most of our adopt-a-thons."
