Awesome beauty is how Lyon Real Estate agent Alice Masucci describes the Auburn Valley area off of Highway 49 and Lone Star and Auburn Valley roads. Taking Lone Star Road you drive past classic country scenes of horses and cattle grazing in pastures, and just minutes later you are transported into the Auburn Valley whose landmarks are the Auburn Country Club with its 18-hole golf course and gorgeous estate homes.

Auburn Valley is the best kept secret. People in Auburn don’t even know it is there,” says Masucci. “Buyers see it and say ‘holy mackerel’ because it is so fabulous,”says Masucci, who has lived in the Auburn Valley for the past 16 years. Her Lyon Real Estate office is based in Auburn.

“It is breathtakingly beautiful,” says Masucci, “and church mouse quiet. We have deer, quail and turkeys running through, yet we are just minutes from the hustle and bustle.”

Auburn Valley is 15 minutes from Highway 80 and about five miles from the Bel Air Shopping Center on Highway 49. Folsom Lake is about a half hour away for boating activities, says Masucci.

The Lone Star and Auburn Valley road properties range from large ranch parcels, some of them 20 acres, with well constructed homes, to the luxury level homes and lots around the golf course. Prices tend to range in the $700s and up.

There are 150 home sites around the golf course and six lots are on the market. Masucci has two of the lots for sale. A two-acre parcel on Curtola Ranch Road off of Auburn Valley Road, with unobstructed views of the golf course and overlooking golf course ponds, is listed at $299,950. All utilities are already in the parcel. Masucci is also marketing a three quarters of an acre lot on Spyglass Circle off of Auburn Valley Road. The lot has oak trees and rock out-croppings and backs up to open space. “It’s a very easy lot to build on since it is mostly flat,” says Masucci. The listed price is $335,000

Masucci is also marketing two Auburn Valley homes. A 3,300-square foot, three bedroom home at 9850 Upper Valley Road, on a ridge overlooking the golf course, provides stunning views, says Masucci. “You can see as far as Marysville and out to the Buttes and the sunsets are to die for,” she says. The house, built in 1998, on a half acre, is single story except for the guest quarters downstairs. It features authentic Southwest styling and a covered veranda for use year round. The house is listed at $879,950.
