Silvio Dossetti
Silvio A. Dossetti died May 30 in Penn Valley. He was 84.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 7, at Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
Mr. Dossetti was born March 25, 1924, in South San Francisco to Antonio and Josephine Dossetti. He was raised on a dairy ranch in Merced County. He graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Mr. Dossetti married Elaine Sorensen in 1947. He was a Design Engineer for the FMC Corp. for 30 years. After spending 22 years in Tahoe, Mr. and Mrs. Dossetti have spent the past four years in Penn Valley. He was a scout master for the Boy Scouts of America and also served as president of the Toastmasters. He enjoyed wood carving.
Mr. Dossetti is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elaine J. Dossetti of Penn Valley; son, John Dossetti of San Jose; daughters and sons-in-law Pamela and Richard Royer of Graton and Melissa and Raymond Wheeler of Loomis; twin brother, John Dossetti of Morgan Hill; sisters Mary Von Ewu, Ann Rapozo, and Gloria Field; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two more on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Josephine Dossetti, and brothers Mike and Al Dossetti.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Foothills or the Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
