Starting Friday, the monthly Spiritual Cinema Circle gatherings will be held at Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains, 246 S. Church St., Grass Valley; it's on the corner next to the larger Grass Valley Methodist church building.

Normally held on the 4th Friday of the month, says Terri Harmon, this month the date was changed to avoid Memorial Day Weekend. As always, the time is 7-9 p.m., reservations are requested, and the event is free, though donations are accepted.

This Friday's offerings are a short of loss and return to love, "Lucy's Piano," and the feature, "Curtain Call," an amusing story of life and life after death and the ghosts who help.
