Steven Hildebrant

Steven Wayne Hildebrant died May 9 in Grass Valley. He was 51.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 16, at Parkside Church, 3885 Richardson Drive in Auburn.

Mr. Hildebrant was born July 2, 1956, in Utica, N.Y., to William R. Hildebrant and Elsie M. (Breen) Hildebrant. He attended Oakmont High School in Roseville. He retired from the U.S. Navy where he was a Chief Petty Officer.

Mr. Hildebrant worked as a Corrections Officer for the Placer County Sheriff Department. He enjoyed motorcycles and camping.

Mr. Hildebrant is survived by his son, Jay Steven Hildebrant of Reno, Nev.; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lorraine Hildebrant; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Dan McNicholas, and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jazel Hildebrant; father, William Hildebrant and mother, Elsie Hildebrant.

Memorial donations may be made to Placer County Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
