Gianna Seghezzi and Zak Zydonis have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Gregory and Angela Seghezzi.

The future groom is the son of Jamie Zydonis.

Both the future bride and the future groom are graduates of Nevada Union High School and are now residing in Santa Barbara. They have had a long, "amazing" friendship.

The future groom proposed in January after talk for months of a fall wedding.

The couple plan to marry August 16 in Nevada City.

They will take a two week long honeymoon to Acapulco, Mexico. Upon their return, they will make their home in Sacramento to finish classes at Sacramento State and be closer to family.
