Tammy Machado, a board certified optician and office manager, recently celebrated 25 years with optometrists Drs. Jerry Chan and Lisa Moon.

Machado started out with the doctors in an entry-level position, but has risen by taking courses and with the support of the medical partners, Chan said. He and Moon also are married.

"From the beginning, I respected her, and she was a very hardworking employee," Chan said when asked about the root of Machado's long employment.
