PEGGY ANDERSEN

Peggy Andersen of Auburn died May 3. She was 71.

A private memorial gathering in Applegate will be held at a later date. In accordance with her wishes, her ashes will be scattered in the Garden of Tranquility Scattering Garden at Lodi Memorial Cemetery.

Ms. Andersen was born Feb. 5, 1937, in Oakland to her biological mother, Bessie Quinlan. She was raised by Marie and Whimpie Fenton. She enjoyed crafts and drawing.

Ms. Andersen is survived by her daughter, Traci Gonzales of Applegate; granddaughters Julianne Halvorson of Grass Valley, Andrea Gonzales of Applegate and Victoria Brown of Grass Valley; great-grandchildren Adison and Tanner Wolfe and Sinaca and Zachary Towles of Grass Valley; brothers Don Fenton of Oregon and Guy Fenton of Stockton, and sister, Norma Bundy of Stockton.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara J. Anderson ; biological mother, Bessie Quinlan; mother, Marie Fenton and father, William Fenton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City
