Grass Valley Police Department



Sunday

11:38 a.m. - A woman called from the 300 block of Mill Street to request extra police patrol in the area. Her ex-husband was just released from prison and he has made threats in the past.

2:48 p.m. - A caller reported juveniles were throwing rocks onto Highway 20 from the Dorsey Drive overpass. Police were unable to locate the juveniles.

3:57 p.m. - A woman called from the 300 block of Mill Street to say she was afraid of her ex-husband, who was just released from prison. Police advised the woman of the proper use of 911, and if she continued to misuse the service, she would be cited or arrested.

5:21 p.m. - A woman called from the 1000 block of Segesworth Way to report her neighbor walked into her apartment uninvited. Police cited a 37-year-old man on suspicion of trespassing.

5:52 p.m. - A caller reported a man had been camping behind a building on Joerschke Drive at Maltman Drive all day and he began yelling. Police arrested the 43-year-old man on suspicion of possession of chemicals for the purpose of intoxication.

6:23 p.m. - A caller from Butler Street at Penstock Drive reported seeing a man in a vehicle using a syringe to shoot drugs. The man cooked the drugs using a spoon and lighter. Police searched the area but were unable to locate him.

11:37 p.m. - Police stopped a vehicle on Tinloy Street at Bank Street and arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving.



Monday

1:16 a.m. - Police arrested a 43-year-old man on West Main Street near Alta Street on suspicion of public drunkenness.

Sunday

8:44 a.m. - A caller reported two dogs were loose on a baseball field on Magnolia Road at Kingston Lane. The dogs were chasing people and attacked a cat, which was injured. Animal Control was informed.

9:56 a.m. - A Lake of the Pines security guard called from the 11000 block of Lakeshore South to report a man was drunk, yelling and causing a disturbance. A deputy arrested the man.

10:59 a.m. - A man called from the 10000 block of Pekolee Drive to report neighborhood children had been throwing rocks at his goats. The man posted signs in the neighborhood about it and the children left a vulgar message on his answering machine. A deputy contacted the father of the child who allegedly left the message. The father said he had no knowlege of the call.



Monday

2:51 a.m. - A woman called from the 24000 block of Ridge Top Court to report a large bear was in her goat pen. A deputy contacted the woman, who said the bear had left.

7:47 a.m. - A caller from a school on the 400 block of Searls Avenue reported a woman was stealing her child's clothing.



Fire Calls

Sunday

1:33 p.m. - A caller from the 12000 block of Serene Way reported an escaped debris fire. The fire department was notified.

5:55 p.m. - A caller from the 12000 block of Honey Mushroom Lane reported a vegetation fire in the Smartville area.

8:39 p.m. A caller from the 11000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive reported a fire.
