The Nevada City council will likely have a game plan in place to replace Sheila Stein after Wednesday night's regularly scheduled meeting.
Council members will first consider an ordinance that allows them to appoint this summer an interim replacement for Stein, who resigned from the council in March after serving less than two years of her first term. She has since moved to England.
A second ordinance on the agenda calls for a special election in November to allow voters to decide who will finish the last two years of Stein’s term.
The council will also hold a special session at 6 p.m. Wednesday to discuss applicants for the city manager's position. The regular meeting starts at 7 p.m.
