On Saturday, members of the Downtown Business Association plan to install the walls and ceiling for two public bathrooms in the Beryl Robinson Plaza in downtown Nevada City.
Downtown Association Chairman Jim McConnaughay said the raising of the walls will occur around 10 a.m. and that members of city government, service clubs and the chamber of commerce have been invited.
“We’re excited that we’re going to have a nice new public bathroom for tourists and local residents alike,” he said.
McConnaughay said the goal is to have the bathrooms entirely outfitted and ready for public use by June 15.
