Print Comment
Grant Fujii of Auburn was in a critical condition Sunday afternoon after sustaining serious injuries in a single vehicle accident on Highway 20 in Nevada City on Saturday.

Fujii, 23, was driving his 1991 Toyota pickup eastbound on Highway 20 early Saturday morning when he drove off the road near Sacramento Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

His truck went up a 30-foot embankment, rolled over and came to rest on the roof across the freeway.

Fujii was trapped inside with his seatbelt fastened and sustained major injuries, the CHP said. He was extricated and taken to Sutter Roseville Medical Center via air ambulance.
