Friends of Hospice will hold the annual Butterfly Garden of Remembrance from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 24-26 at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.

The event is a time when people can honor a loved one who has died by ordering a remembrance card, which is attached to one of hundreds of small butterfly sculptures set on stakes on the cemetery lawn.

Cards are given for a $15 donation and are available at Hospice of the Foothills, Weiss Bros. Nursery and B&C Hardware, in Grass Valley; at Hooper and Weaver; or you can call 265-9739.

This event was created in 2000 by Friends of Hospice and Hooper and Weaver Mortuary as a fundraiser; all proceeds support Hospice of the Foothills.
