NU cancels benefit concert

Nevada Union has canceled its benefit concert, "Brick in the Wall," due to several last minute problems organizers were unaware of, NU athletic director Steve Pilcher wrote in an e-mail.

The concert was scheduled for May 24 at Don Baggett Theatre.

Tickets were to go on sale today for the concert, which was to help offset the costs of Hooper Stadium's new $11,000 sound system.

It was unclear whether the concert would be put back on or if the problems would be resolved.

The school has already purchased its new sound system after their last system died during homecoming in the fall semester.
