Nevada City will kick off its 2008 paving program in June.

The city plans to have work done on 21 streets this summer and hopes to have major construction work completed by the end of July, according to the city’s Public Works Department.

Included in this year’s schedule is Union Street from Main to Broad streets. This project was added to the list so work could be completed before the Father’s Day bike race on June 15.

Sales tax collected as result of the passage of Measure S is paying for the project.
