The making of CATS

Jeannie Wong Wood, executive director of the Community Asian Theater of the Sierras (CATS) is the featured speaker at the Nevada County Democratic Women's Club Spring Luncheon on Saturday in Nevada City.

Wong will talk about how the theater was formed.

Lindsey Patin, student winner of the club's Annette Gillette memorial scholarship, will read her essay about involving youth in the political process.

The reception is at 11:30 a.m., with luncheon and program starting at noon in the Garden Room of the Trolley Junction Restaurant, at the Northern Queen Inn, 400 Railroad Avenue, Nevada City.

RSVP with choice of entree (chicken cordon bleu, cranberry glazed meatloaf, and vegetarian pasta) to 274-1344.
