Economic recovery is possible

Print Comment
I just read a comment from Richard Maybury who writes a newsletter entitled "Early Warning Report" (www.chaostan.com) and I felt compelled to share a viewpoint he made in his most recent edition.

Richard Maybury states: "What does America need to do to have an economic recovery? The answer is that an absolute, unavoidable prerequisite for genuine, lasting prosperity is PEACE - because war is the most expensive thing humans do. The U.S. cannot have peace and prosperity as long as Washington meddles in other countries, supports foreign dictators, and keeps its troops and bases in foreign lands. These things provoke war. In short, if you want the kind of country America is supposed to be, Washington must leave other people alone, which it hasn't done since the Spanish-American War."

As George Washington, our first president, stated in his farewell address upon leaving office, we should not meddle in the affairs of other nations. George was right, indeed, and Mr. Maybury's words ring prophetic!

This same topic was raised during the debates by only one presidential candidate. That candidate, who is still running despite a total media blackout, is Dr. Ron Paul, Republican congressman from Texas.
