Janet Bridegum died May 4 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 73.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Grace Lutheran Church. The Rev. Murray Elrod will officiate. Private internment will be held on Monday, May 12. Burial will take place at Sierra Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Bridegum was born June 24, 1934, in Los Angeles. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Bishop Johnson School of Nursing, University of Arizona. She married James E. Bridegum on May 12, 1956.
Mrs. Bridegum was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed horseback riding throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona and Utah.
Mrs. Bridegum is survived by her husband, James Bridegum of Lake Wildwood; sons and daughters-in-law Joel and Brenda Bridegum of Elko, Nev., Jeffrey and Debbie Bridegum of Salem, Ore., and James and Kim Bridegum of Carson City, Nev.; son, John Bridegum of Sparks Nev.; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
