DORIS OLTS-FREY

Doris E. Olts-Frey of Grass Valley died peacefully April 3 after a bout of pneumonia. She was 92.

In accordance with her wishes, a private family service will be held in the near future.

Mrs. Olts-Frey was born in Oakland and was a long-time resident of Piedmont. She attended McClymonds High School in Oakland. She worked as an office manager for the ophthalmologist Dr. Rufus Goodwin in San Francisco for 20 years.

Mrs. Olts-Frey relocated to Grass Valley in 1971 when she and her husband built their home in Alta Sierra. She worked in medical records at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for a number of years. After the death of her husband, Philip Olts, she married Clifford Frey, who also preceded her in death.

She was greatly loved by all of her family and friends and will always be remembered for her joy of life.

Mrs. Olts-Frey is survived by her daughter, Ardis Crist of Oakland; sons Michael and Wayne Olts of Grass Valley; granddaughter, Rari Olts of Concord; grandsons Troy and Todd Crist of Portland, Ore., and Luke Olts of Sacramento, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Philip Olts and Clifford Frey; mother, Thea Hofve; father, Tygva Vigre; brother, Elmer Vigre and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Olts.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
