Local Sports: Registration open for Gold Country youth soccer

Registration for the Gold Country Youth Soccer League's 2008 fall season is underway.

Discounted early registration is offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, May 10 and May 17, at the GCYSL office, 741 Maltman Drive, Grass Valley.

The league is open to all boys and girls ages 4-14 as of July 31, 2008. The season begins Aug. 23 and concludes Nov. 15.


Cost is $65 per player, although family discounts are also available. Online registration is available for $75 at www.gcyslsoccer.org. Open registration will be May 18-June 14, with hours and locations posted at the web site. Cost is $75 per player and $85 online.
