JAYCE LOPIN

12:01 a.m. PT May 3, 2008

Jayce Michael Lopin died April 30 at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento. He was 2.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 9, at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.

Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family has requested to not wear black to the funeral service.


Jayce was born Jan. 16, 2006, at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

He enjoyed being loved by his mommy and daddy, hanging out with his best buddy Deandre Howard, and watching "Finding Nemo."

Jayce is survived by his mother, Brittany Thumel of Grass Valley; father, Bryan Lopin of Grass Valley; grandparents Wade and Carrie (Casper) Lahr and Michael and Madonna (Masera) Lopin, all of Grass Valley; great-grandparents Kenny and Joan Casper of Grass Valley and Delores and Frank Masera of Yuba City; grandfather, John Thumel of Roseville; great-grandmother, Delores Thumel of Mesa, Ariz.; aunts Amanda Lahr and Shelby Thumel; uncles Eric Lopin and Clayton Lahr; uncles and aunts Derick and Mandi Casper and Greg and Elsie Lopin, and many more family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Carol (Boundy) Pascoe; great-great-grandfather, "Papa" Art Boundy; great-great-grandmother, "Granny" Ruby (Simmons) Boundy; great-grandfathers Milnor Thumel and Jerry Lopin, and great-grandmothers Ruth Lopin and Lori Howard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jayce Lopin Memorial Fund at any Citizens Bank.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
