Mimi Simmons has sold her real estate agency to Select Properties, a company with offices in Nevada, Yuba, Sacramento and Placer counties.

The change in ownership will have no immediate impact on her ERA Cornerstone Realty Group offices in Grass Valley and Nevada City, said Simmons, 50. The sale was effective Thursday, she added.

"Everything will remain the same," she said. "We just have more tools and services available to help our customers."

The sale will allow her to focus her energies on marketing and sales, she said.

"My true passion is selling real estate," Simmons said. "It would be very hard for me to slow down."

Select Properties is owned by Dan Jacuzzi, whose company has numerous offices in the Sacramento Valley and the Sierra.

Simmons started her agency in August 1992. The company started with six agents and, at its peak, had four offices and 60 agents, Simmons said.
