Skip Lusk, executive officer of the Nevada County Association of Realtors for nearly 12 years, has retired, he said Thursday.
"I have grandchildren who have become teenagers. They're going to become adults soon, and I want to spend more time with them and my wife of 51 years," said Lusk, who is 71 and lives in Lake of the Pines.
Lusk joined the Nevada County Association of Realtors in June 1996, and his last day was Wednesday, according to Nancy Silva, multiple listing service assistant with the association.
Kathleen Hinman, the former assistant executive officer, is serving as the interim executive officer, Silva said.
The association is reviewing its organizational structure and will subsequently advertise for the executive officer position, Hinman said.
This is Lusk's third retirement, Lusk said.
Lusk owned an architectural business in Southern California, which he sold in 1987 and retired to Nevada County, Lusk said. He then worked as the county architect from 1988 to 1996, he said.
