Four people were in jail Thursday after they were arrested at a residence off of Flying T Road.
Officers found about five ounces of methamphetamine, a ball of hash the size of a baseball, a stolen gun and a stolen car in pieces on the lawn, Nevada County Sheriff Lt. Frank Kohler said.
Narcotics agents served a search warrant at about 7 a.m. Wednesday and arrested Robert Wason, 55, of Rough and Ready, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A loaded .57 Magnum stolen from Yuba County was underneath Wason's pillow, and the dismantled Dodge Stealth had been reported stolen from Grass Valley, Kohler said.
Steven Talbott, 47, of Grass Valley, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance for sale, and committing a felony while out of jail on his own recognizance.
Talbott had turned himself in at the courthouse on two warrants Tuesday, and he was released on his own recognizance, Kohler said.
Also arrested were Bruce Gilbert, 42, on suspicion of possessing concentrated cannabis and being under the influence of meth; Mark Hilstad, on suspicion of possessing meth and on a warrant; and Martina Smith, 34, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance and on a warrant, Kohler said.
Smith was released on her own recognizance from Wayne Brown Correctional Facility later Wednesday, while the others remained in jail Thursday evening, according to jail records.
