The following is a small sample of those calls:

2:17 p.m. April 9 - The GVFD and NCCFD responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Old Tunnel Road and Brunswick Road. All vehicles were off the road with one possible injury. Further investigation found that no extrication was required and the one possible injured occupant denied treatment.

The first arriving unit reported a single vehicle on fire and deployed hose lines and quickly contained the fire. The cause was determined to be accidental ignition by a gas torch while working on the vehicle.

Firefighters arrived to find that no transformer damage occurred but were immediately met by a passerby that reported a line down on the Litton Trail.
