A home-based hair salon and signs for two Broad Street businesses - including a new spa - go before the Nevada City Planning Commission next week.
Among the items on the agenda is a public hearing regarding an application for a home-based business at 204 Clay Street.
Annette Wolters wants to start a hair salon at her home. The property is zoned residential, but the applicant said there's adequate parking for the business. She also seeks approval for a two-square-foot sign to advertise her business.
Janice Vitavec is seeking a sign for her new business, owner of the Jindana spa, on the upper level of 310 Broad St.
In addition, Taylor-Drake Furniture and Accessories has requested a 17.5-square foot sign for its business on Broad Street downtown.
The commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Nevada City hall on Broad Street.
