11:36 a.m. - A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way reported someone continually turning off the power to the apartment complexes, causing some residents medical problems.
9:40 p.m. - A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a man playing music too loudly. Officers contacted the person and advised him to turn it down.
11:16 p.m. - Officers arrested a 24-year-old man on the 300 block of Northstar Place on suspicion of drunken driving and driving without a license.
Saturday
2:02 a.m. - A caller from the intersection of Richardson Street and Washington Street reported a person in a gray, hooded sweatshirt opening the doors of vehicles and going through them. Officers checked the area and arrested a 24-year-old woman on a local warrant.
2:46 a.m. - Officers arrested a 19-year-old man at a business on the 1800 block of East Main Street on suspicion of drunken driving and booked him into Nevada County jail.
11:47 a.m. - Officers arrested a 36-year-old woman at a business on the 200 block of East Main Street and booked her into Nevada County jail on an outstanding local warrant and a Sacramento warrant. She was cited and released on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and drunken driving.
2:28 p.m. - Officers cited and released two 18-year-old men on the 100 block of McKnight Way on suspicion of shoplifting.
Sunday
2:31 a.m. -Officers arrested a 56-year-old man at the intersection of Bennett Street and Tinloy Street for being drunk in public, resisting arrest and on three counts of assaulting a police officer. He was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional facility.

9:21 a.m. - A caller from the 13000 block of Climbing Way reported six to eight people having a paintball fight on his property.
Sunday
12:31 a.m. - A caller from the 18000 block of Greenhorn Road reported a large bear on the back porch. The caller was referred to the Department of Fish and Game.
n 10:55 a.m. - A caller from the 10000 block of East Drive reported finding marijuana on a juvenile. Officers cited and released the juvenile on suspicion of having less than an ounce of marijuana.

9:48 a.m. - A caller from the 300 block of B Street reported a physical altercation and a violation of child custody. Officers arrested a 42-year-old woman on suspicion of spousal abuse and booked her into county jail.
6:10 p.m. - Officers arrested a 53-year-old man on Spring Street on suspicion of driving without a license and resisting arrest and booked him into jail.

Fire Blotter
The Grass Valley Fire Department responded to 70 calls for service between April 2 and April 8, including ones responded to as part of its operating relationship with Nevada County Consolidated Fire District and Nevada City Fire Department. Here's a sampling of the calls:
11:51 a.m. April 2 - The GVFD, NCCFD and NCFD responded to a vehicle accident on Brunswick Road. Two vehicles were involved with moderate damage to both vehicles. Two people were injured, but no significant extrication was required. Emergency personnel treated each patient and secured them to back boards for transport to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
7:21 p.m. April 5 - The GVFD responded to an unknown-type fire near East Main Street. Firefighters reported smoke showing from a wooded area and possible vegetation fire. Firefighters found an unattended camp fire at an illegal campsite and extinguished it. No responsible person was found at the scene.
6:49 a.m. April 6 - The GVFD and NCFD responded to a reported residential structure fire on Walsh Street. Firefighters reported nothing showing from the exterior and were told by occupants that there was a fire in the bathroom. Firefighters deployed hose lines into the smoke-filled home and extinguished the fire. A faulty portable heater had caused the fire.
9:22 a.m. April 8 - The GVFD responded to a reported drug overdose on Ridge Road. The patient was evaluated at the scene, was provided initial treatment and then was transported to the hospital for additional medical attention.
