Police blotter 3/27/08

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

8:21 p.m. - A caller from the 700 block of Auburn Street reported a man was in the home who refused to leave. Arriving officers found the man had left.



Tuesday

2:40 a.m. - A caller from the 100 block of Starling Circle reported someone was walking around in her kitchen. Responding officers could not locate anyone else in the home.

10:31 a.m. - A business on the 2000 block of Nevada City Highway reported an ATM fraud.

10:44 a.m. - A caller from a business on the 1600 block of East Main Street reported a tailgate was stolen from a pickup truck there.

3:25 p.m. - A caller from the 500 block of Main Street reported his vehicle had just been struck by another that was not around. A witness got the license plate of the vehicle that had left the scene to report to police.

4:47 p.m. - A caller from the 2200 block of Ridge Road reported a vehicle was abandoned in his driveway.

6:29 p.m. - A caller said she left her wallet at a business on Sutton Way. When she went back to the business, she found someone had returned the wallet, but $45 was missing.

6:58 p.m. - A caller from the 1400 block of East Main Street said a neighbor had threatened them.

8:11 p.m. - A caller reported a male juvenile staggering around and riding a shopping cart on the 100 block of Neal Street.

8:24 p.m. - A caller from the 1400 block of Segsworth reported a suspicious vehicle drove into a nearby parking lot and was stopped with its engine running. People in the area were repeatedly walking up to the vehicle and then back into their homes.



Wednesday

5:38 a.m. - A man called from Minnie Park saying he would like to kill the president. An officer responded and arrested the man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

9:17 a.m. - A business reported from the 800 block of East Main Street that a box trailer had been stolen.

11:02 a.m. - A business on the 100 block of Joerschke reported a possible check fraud of $374.



Nevada County Sheriff's Office

Tuesday

1:55 p.m. - A man called from the 10000 block of Shady Oak Place saying he received a threatening phone call from an unknown person who said he would kill him. The caller said his vehicle had been broken into the night before by unknown people at a party, and he suspected it was someone from the group. The police took a report for burglary.

10:33 p.m. - A man called from the 19000 block of Scotts Flat Road saying that his mother handed him a knife and told him to kill her.



Nevada City Police Department

Tuesday

9:22 a.m. - A caller from the 800 block of Zion Street reported graffiti on a building. The words "We hate you" were written on the wall. A pile of fecal matter with a tampon was left on the premises and a mailbox was left full of pine needles. The police took a case for vandalism.
