Marie Cavanaugh and Gregg Walti, both of Orange County, have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Shirley Cavanaugh and the late Paul Cavanaugh.

She graduated from Edison High School in Huntington Beach in 1993 and received a degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997. She is a financial analyst working at Astra Oil Co. in Huntington Beach.

The future groom is the son of Al and Sandi Walti of Lake Wildwood.

He graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1997 and from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a degree in business in 2001. He is a commercial property manager for the Irvine Co.

The couple plans to marry May 10 in Laguna Beach.
