Alexa Wydra of Redwood City and Brian Sevilla of San Carlos have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Edward and Kimberly Wydra of Lake Wildwood.

She graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1997, from Saint Mary's College in 2001 and from the University of San Francisco in 2005 with an MBA in marketing. She currently works at Check Point Software Technologies in Redwood City.

The future groom is the son of Mary Sevilla of South San Francisco and Bill and Terrye Sevilla of Huntington Beach.

He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1999 and from the University of San Francisco in 2006 with an MBA in finance. He currently works at Franklin Templeton Investments in San Mateo.

The couple plans to marry on Aug. 23.
