Grass Valley Police Department

Sunday

&#149; 9:54 a.m. - A caller from the 600 block of East Main Street reported workers found a knife with blood on it and a sweater. Police collected the items and determined there was no crime.

&#149; 11:10 a.m. - Police contacted a 25-year-old man at a business on Sutton Way and arrested him on suspicion of burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of a bad check or money order and grand theft.

&#149; 5:18 p.m. - A caller from a business on the 900 block of Plaza Drive reported a patio light was broken by someone who threw a boulder. Police took a report for vandalism.

&#149; 5:54 p.m. - A caller reported possible child endangerment on the 400 block of Maryland Drive. A man allegedly locked a 5-year-old girl out of the residence since 5 a.m. Police arrived and Child Protective Services took custody of the child. Police went back to the residence to follow up and arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of child endangerment.

&#149; 10:01 p.m. - A man in the police station lobby reported finding what appeared to be methamphetamine in front of a business on the 100 block of Neal Street. Police determined the substance was not meth, it was an emergency snakebite kit.



Monday

&#149; 12:14 a.m. - Police stopped a vehicle on South Auburn Street and Whiting Street and arrested a 19-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving, child endangerment and driving without a license.

&#149; 12:12 p.m. - A caller from Squirrel Creek Road reported hearing shooting. Deputies determined a person was shooting in a legal manner on federal land.

&#149; 4:24 p.m. - A caller from the 11000 block of Warbler Way reported a burglary in progress. Deputies cited two juveniles on suspicion of burglary and released them to their parents.

&#149; 5:05 p.m. - A caller from the 18000 block of Farrell Ravine Way reported people in a blue Chevy Nova came at the caller with a pickax and had their Pitt-bull dogs attack the caller. The person in the Nova called to report the first caller broke out a window on the car during an argument, prompting the dogs to bite the first caller. The first caller denied medical attention and deputies took a report for vandalism.



Monday

&#149; 12:41 p.m. - A woman called from the 13000 block of Meda Drive to report a person violated a restraining order by calling 30 times in the last hour and threatening to kill her and cut her car's brake lines. A deputy called the woman, who said she did not consider the threats credible. However, the person called the woman 29 times while the deputy was on the phone with the woman. The deputy took a report.

&#149; 11:39 p.m. - A caller from the 400 block of Sacramento Street reported a vehicle had a broken window and there was glass all over the street. Police took a report for burglary.

&#149; 11:55 p.m. - A caller from Broad Street reported a person was swinging a steel bar and hitting meters and light poles. Police arrested the person.
