Police Blotter 11/26/07



Grass Valley Police Department

Friday

• 1:10 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a customer passed out in a store.

• 8:11 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of McKnight Way reported a homeless person refusing to leave.

• 8:51 p.m. — A caller from Neal Street reported a person who attempted to start a fight with unknown customers.

• 11:12 p.m. — A caller from the 1000 block of Sutton Way reported a young female who tried to purchase alcohol with someone else’s identification.



Saturday

• 1:05 p.m. — A person from the Grass Valley area dropped off a purse into the Police department’s lost and found box. The man said the purse was left in his vehicle, but he does not remember which party it may have belonged to. The purse is a black “Playboy” purse with a Playboy bunny on the front with rhinestones.

• 9 a.m. — A man from the 300 block of First Street reported that when he went to check on a residence that was supposed to be vacant, he found a woman in the bathroom. She left out the window.

• 9:10 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of McKnight Way reported a suspicious man in a sleeping bag in front of a business.

• 9:30 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Washington Street reported someone had stolen the 2008 tags from a vehicle license plate.

• 2:45 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Mill Street reported a water leak on Mill Street that resulted in low water pressure and a sound coming from under the house.

• 4:05 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Race Street reported a custody issue.

• 4:27 p.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Sutton Way stated her husband was acting crazy and would not let her back into the apartment.

• 9:32 p.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Chester Street advised of a manhole in the street leaking sewage.

• 9:43 p.m. — Another caller from Chester Street reported a sewer smell.

• 9:58 p.m. — A caller from a Grass Valley parking lot reported a street sweeper vehicle was driving erratically in the parking lot.



Sunday

• 4:40 a.m. — A caller from the 100 block of Berryhill Drive reported his wife was very drunk and just left on foot headed downtown after a domestic fight.

• 11:06 p.m. — A disabled vehicle was found on the shoulder with the ignition “hollowed out.”

Friday

• 1:02 p.m. — A caller from the 17000 block of Brewer Road reported shots in the area.

• 1:41 p.m. — A caller from Spring and Pine Streets reported drug dealing on the street corner.

• 2:07 p.m. — A caller from the 10000 block of Red Lane reported the neighbor’s dog killed one of his goats but doesn’t know where the dog is now.

• 3:58 p.m. — A caller from 10000 block of Pleasant Valley Road reported dogs attacked her emu.

• 4:42 p.m. — A caller from Lake Wildwood Drive reported two subjects attacked her and held her against her will and would not give back her truck keys.

On the call back, the subject told authorities she did not take the keys or anything else.

• 4:51 p.m. — A caller from Rough and Ready Highway reported shooting in the area.

• 11:13 p.m. — A caller from Alta Sierra reported three to four juveniles using orange cones to divert traffic off the road.



Saturday

• 12:05 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a broken sewer line inside a local bar.

• 12:15 a.m. — A caller from Gold Hill Drive reported multiple parked vehicles and people yelling.

• 1:29 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Cottage Street reported a man throwing rocks at a window who would not leave.

• 4:14 a.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Tranquility Lane reported hearing multiple gun shots from what could be Banner Mountain.

• 6:20 a.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Cottage Street reported a person throwing rocks at a window.

• 8:45 a.m. — A child called from 10000 Lazy Valley Road and stated his mom was trying to get him and that his mom is a bad girl and wants to shoot him.

• 11:12 a.m. — A caller from the 26000 block of Sweetland Road reported the theft of a generator from his motor home.

• 11:51 a.m. — A caller from Pleasant Valley Road reported a subject attempted to hit the caller’s vehicle several minutes ago.



Saturday

• 1:42 p.m. — A caller from Washington reported numerous motorcyclists and off road vehicles driving back and forth through town.

• 2:36 p.m. — A caller from 18000 Biladeau Lane reported her mentally disabled brother hit her mother with his fist.

• 3:58 p.m. — California Highway Patrol reported receiving a call from a woman with slurred speech who stated, “we are stuck here.” Authorities were unable to call the woman back. After playing back a recording of the phone call, law enforcement

discovered the woman was walking at Malakoff Diggins. State Park reported having a resident ranger at the park to help.

• 3:59 p.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported a group of six people smoking "pot" on the street.

• 5:56 p.m. — A caller from the 13000 block of Thoroughbred Loop reported vandalism to a mailbox.

• 6:34 p.m. — A caller from the 300 block of Sacramento Street reported a man who came into a business and struck a worker.

• 6:35 p.m. — A caller from Factory Street reported a stolen vehicle.

• 7:45 p.m. — A caller from Commercial Street reported someone running down the street screaming.

• 7:59 p.m. — A caller from the 500 block of Nimrod Street reported possible shooting and explosions in the area.

• 10:38 p.m. — A caller from the 900 block of Gold Flat Road reported hearing gun shots toward Railroad Ave.

• 11:53 p.m. — A man called from Jones Bar Road to report his son was last seen at the river fishing at sundown and while his vehicle is still there, the son has not returned.

The man called back to say he found his son.

Sunday

• 2:11 a.m. — A caller from 10000 block of Combie Road reported hearing screaming and yelling from a shopping center parking lot.

• 3:58 a.m. — A caller from the 200 block of Broad Street reported a half naked man trying to sleep in the lobby. The man was admonished before he returned to his room.

• 7:29 a.m. — A caller from the 11000 block of Greenbriar Way reported an $812.77 transfer was made from his checking account to a home finance company.
