Pot chase ends with no arrests
A police helicopter spotted a marijuana garden near the border of Nevada County and Placer County at 11:30 a.m. Friday.
As soon as they were detected, workers in the garden loaded the pot into various vehicles and drove away, Nevada County Sheriff's Capt. Ron Smith said.
Officers soon stopped all the fugitives, Sheriff's Lt. Bill Evans said.
"Everything seems legal at this point, pending further investigation," Evans said.
No arrests were made, Evans added.
