A police helicopter spotted a marijuana garden near the border of Nevada County and Placer County today around 11:30 a.m.
As soon as they were detected, workers in the garden loaded the pot in various vehicles and drove away, said Nevada County Sheriffs Capt. Ron Smith.
Officers soon stopped all the fugitives, said Lt. Bill Evans with the Nevada County Sheriffs Office.
Everything seems legal at this point, pending further investigation, Evans said.
No arrests were made, Evans added.
