Police Department

Thursday

• At 11:24 a.m., a man reported his vehicle was hit by a black Ford Mustang near a restaurant on the 11000 block of Nevada City Highway. The driver fled from the accident, then pulled over near Idaho-Maryland Road and the female driver was drunk, the caller said. Police took a report.

• At 11:57 a.m., a caller from a pharmacy on the 100 block of Catherine Lane reported receiving a forged prescription from a woman. Police arrested the woman on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale.

• At 2:48 p.m., a caller from the 600 block of Whiting Street reported a solicitor was going door to door selling meat. The solicitor was driving a white truck with a shell with a phone number written on the side. The caller told the solicitor to be on his way, and he left.

• At 4:31 p.m., a woman called from the 600 block of Kechely Avenue to report her daughter's wheelchair ramp was missing and was last seen the day before. The neighbors had not seen anything suspicious. The woman requested extra patrol.

• At 5:22 p.m., a caller reported a black Ford Escort was rolling down Race Street at Wiley Lane, and the caller climbed into the car and parked it at Race and Henderson streets. The caller brought the keys to the police department for safe keeping.

• At 5:46 p.m., a caller from a shop on the 100 block of Neal Street reported a group of juveniles was loitering in front of the business. Police told the juveniles to move on.

• At 8:47 p.m., a caller from Mill Street reported hearing a woman screaming she was going to kill something. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the woman.

• At 10:22 p.m., a caller from a business on the 100 block of Neal Street reported about six juveniles were involved in a physical fight. Police contacted the people involved and told them not to return.



Friday

• At 2:35 a.m., a woman called from a parking lot on the 1000 block of Sutton Way to report she was locked out of her vehicle. Police responded and called a roadside assistance company.

• At 8:21 a.m., a caller from Highway 174 just past the tennis courts at Memorial Park reported a school bus and a vehicle collided. Police determined there were no injuries.

Thursday

• At 2:17 p.m., a caller from Foxtail Drive reported a possible violation of a restraining order. A person was refusing to leave a driveway and stop blowing leaves. A deputy contacted the caller.

• At 4:25 p.m., a caller reported a male juvenile, a ward of a reform school, got out of a vehicle on Whispering Pines Road and ran away. The boy told the driver he would call law enforcement when he was done with what he had to do. Local law enforcement was advised to be on the lookout for the boy.

• At 5:39 p.m., a woman called from East Drive to report her laptop computer was stolen from her home sometime during the day. A deputy took a report for burglary.

• At 8:03 p.m., a woman called to report her 13-year-old son was just assaulted by other youths at Broken Oak Court. An officer determined medical attention was needed, and all juveniles were cited on suspicion of assault and trespassing by a credible threat to cause serious bodily injury, then released.

• At 8:51 p.m., a man called from Bissell Place to report a repossession man was on his property and refusing to leave.

• At 9:11 p.m., a caller from the 11000 block of Ridge Road reported two juveniles were wearing all black with hoods and masks. They were refusing to cooperate with a custodian, and the caller said the youths were being detained. Deputies determined the juveniles had been playing "ninja warrior." No crime had been committed.

• At 9:30 p.m., a woman from Forest Springs Drive reported a man called her and said he was with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He wanted her bank account information. A deputy advised the woman about scams.

• At 9:50 p.m., a caller reported a blonde woman with torn clothing was walking south on Highway 49, just south of North San Juan. The CHP responded and were unable to locate the woman.



Friday

• At 5:31 a.m., a caller from Highway 174 at Dalmation Drive reported a woman walking in the roadway had just been assaulted by her husband. A passerby picked up the woman. Deputies contacted the woman at a parking lot and went to her home. The husband was gone and children were there. Deputies took a report for battery and would interview the husband later.

Thursday

• At 6:05 p.m., a caller from Broad Street reported a woman sitting on the side of the road at the Highway 49 onramp appeared to be extremely drunk. Police arrested the woman on suspicion of violation of probation.
