• At 9:33 p.m. Aug. 8, NCFD, NCCFD and GVFD responded to fire in a coffee roasting business on Loma Rica Drive. • At 1:52 a.m. Aug. 9, GVFD responded to a medical call for victims allegedly struck intentionally by a vehicle on Neal Street. Emergency personnel assessed and treated three victims for minor injuries; one required transport to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for further evaluation.

• At 3:51 p.m. Aug. 9, GVFD and NCCFD responded to Penn Valley for a vegetation fire. Firefighters advanced hose lines and extinguished fire along the east flank of the burn and mopped up additional hot spots on the approximately two-acre fire.
