At 11:17 a.m., a caller from Ocean Avenue at Empire Street reported two juveniles were shooting at cars with a BB gun. One boy had black hair and a black shirt. The other was tall and wearing a brown basketball jersey. Police checked the area extensively and were unable to locate the juveniles.
At 11:31 a.m., a man called from a business on the 400 block of Sutton Way to report his mop bucket was stolen and vandals dumped over his recycling. Police took a report for petty theft.
At 1:29 p.m., a caller from the 2000 block of Brunswick Road reported a dog locked in a white Corolla was trying to jump out of the vehicle and appeared to be in distress. Police faxed the information to Animal Control. They were unable to reach the agency by telephone.
At 1:50 p.m., a woman called from the 500 block of Blight Road to report her heater was on and she was unable to turn it off. Police contacted the woman and notified Adult Protective Services. Police would follow up.
At 4:03 p.m., a caller from the Memorial Park pool reported two male juveniles were in a fight. They were separated and detained by staff. Police contacted the boys and told them not to return to the pool.
At 5:01 p.m., a caller from Condon Park skate park reported older juveniles were knocking younger children over. Police contacted the juveniles.
At 5:33 p.m., a woman called to report her neighbor's dog was sitting on her porch. Animal Control reported the dog was off the porch and secured in its own yard.
At 5:56 p.m., a man called from a business on the 700 block of Maltman Drive to report all of the tires on his service vehicle were slashed. He requested extra police patrol.
At 6:31 p.m., a caller from the 200 block of Colfax Avenue reported a woman was passed out in the street. The woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
At 7:22 p.m., a caller reported a drunken woman on Highway 49 at Brunswick Road was trying to hitchhike and was stumbling into traffic. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the woman.
At 7:30 p.m., police pursued a vehicle up Nevada City Highway and arrested the driver on suspicion of evading a peace officer while operating a vehicle, violating probation, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possessing a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and warrants.
At 11:41 p.m., a caller from the hospital on the 100 block of Glasson Way reported a 20-year-old man was assaulted on Mill Street and was seeking medical treatment. Police contacted a 26-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury.

At 4:43 a.m., a woman called from the 100 block of Ophir Street reported she heard scuffling. Police were unable to locate anything suspicious.

At 10:19 a.m., a Grass Valley Police requested a sheriff's deputy help with a vehicle accident on Brunswick Road and East Bennett Street involving a fire truck. Presence by law enforcement was needed. The California Highway Patrol was on scene.
At 11:36 a.m., a woman called from the 14000 block of Lodgepole Drive to report her power was out and she needed groceries. Her garage door would not open. Lake Wildwood security would check on the woman.
At 6:45 p.m., a caller from the 10000 block of Adam Avenue reported her husband beat her up five hours earlier. Police took a report.
At 7:49 p.m., a caller from Cottage Hill Drive reported two men in a white van were driving through the neighborhood honking the horn. Deputies checked the area and were unable to locate the van.

At 12:03 a.m., a juvenile called from the 11000 block of Nugget Lane to report he took mushrooms and was having a bad reaction. Paramedics responded. Deputies also responded, but no arrest was made.
At 6:47 a.m., a caller from a campground in the Chicago Park area reported a man was behaving indecently on a public beach. He was carrying an orange swimsuit.

At 6:58 a.m., a caller from Packard Drive reported smelling smoke. Grass Valley firefighters responded. Other than a cooking odor, nothing was found.
