At 4:40 a.m., a woman called from the 300 block of East Main Street to report she and her 23-year-old daughter were in a fight. Her daughter was throwing and breaking things, and the woman said her daughter had just hit her in the face. Police arrested the 23-year-old daughter on suspicion of assault and vandalism.
At 9:43 a.m., police arrested a 30-year-old woman on the 500 block of Bennett Street on suspicion of trespassing and violating probation.
At 11:08 p.m., a caller from a business on the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported paintballs were being shot at the store. There was no permanent damage.
At 5:47 p.m., police cited three people on the 500 block of Bennett Street on suspicion of trespassing.
At 6:52 p.m., police arrested a 70-year-old woman on Rough and Ready Highway on suspicion of drunken driving. Her dog was returned to its residence.
At 10:54 p.m., a caller from a business on the 100 block of East Main Street reported an ex-employee was in the parking lot demanding tips. He had just been fired. Police contacted the caller and the ex-employee, who was advised not to return or he could be arrested for trespassing.

At 3:14 a.m., police cited four people on Townsend Street. Three 16-year-old boys were cited on suspicion of trespassing, attempted petty theft and resisting an officer. Another 16-year-old boy was cited on suspicion of trespassing, attempted petty theft, resisting an officer and possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

At 6:07 p.m., a caller from the Carr Feely Lakes area reported four overdue hikers. They were part of an Internet hiking group from Roseville. The hikers later returned, and everything was fine.
At 6:39 p.m., a caller reported a juvenile girl, who lives on the 10000 block of Nishinam Gulch, had said her father had been beating her with a stick and that he sicked the dog on her, which bit her. The juvenile would be staying with a friend. A deputy took a report.

At 12:10 a.m., a caller from the 23000 block of St. Helena Drive reported an accidental gunshot wound to the hand. The caller was cleaning the .45-caliber gun when it went off. The caller was transported to the hospital. A deputy took a report.

At 12 p.m., a woman called from the 100 block of South Pine Street to report she was assaulted. Someone reportedly tackled her, twisted her arms and punched her in the face. Police took a report for battery.
At 6:43 p.m., a caller from Zion Street reported seeing a juvenile girl with pink shorts, brown hair and one shoe on. She reportedly had been pushed from a moving vehicle but declined any help. Police contacted the girl at a grocery store and released her to her grandmother.
At 9:16 p.m., a caller from the 600 block of West Broad Street reported a neighbor had a scented candle burning in his vehicle, but he was inside his home, possibly in bed. An officer responded and blew out the candle.

At 2:55 a.m., a newspaper delivery person called from Zion Street to report several houses on several streets had been toilet-papered. The caller saw three juveniles duck behind a professional office on Zion Street.

At 9:44 p.m., a caller from the 1000 block of Segesworth Way in Grass Valley reported fire at an apartment. The fire department responded. A woman cooking tortillas in her kitchen on the first floor caused a small grease fire. The apartments were evacuated while the fire department extinguished the fire, which had reached the woman's cabinets. No one was hurt.
At 6:02 p.m., a caller reported a fire on the 15000 block of Ant Hill Road. The fire department reported everything was fine. The fire was a debris burn.
