Police Blotter 4/12/07

Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

• At 11:32 a.m., a caller from the 100 block of West McKnight Way reported a man with red frizzy hair was trying to open numerous car doors. Police arrested the 34-year-old man on suspicion of public drunkenness.

• At 7:14 p.m., a caller wanted to discuss being harassed by the 17-year-old manager of a grocery store on the 100 block of Neal Street. Police contacted the caller.

• At 11:01 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on the 200 block of Sutton Way and cited a 22-year-old woman on suspicion of driving with a suspended license.



Wednesday

• At 12:20 a.m., a caller from Sutton Way reported a woman was walking back and forth, yelling at cars. Police contacted the woman and she walked toward her boyfriend's apartment.

• At 8:07 a.m., a woman called to say her brother is a transient and is very ill. If he dies, she would like to be notified. The woman also called other local law enforcement agencies.

• At 8:38 a.m., a caller advised of an ongoing problem with motorists running the stop sign at the northbound off ramp of the Golden Center Freeway at Idaho-Maryland Road. People going east and west on Idaho Maryland Road were not seeing the stop sign and going right through it. Patrol officers were advised.

Tuesday

• At 4:43 p.m., a caller requested deputies check on a woman who lives on the 14000 block of Star Drive. The caller had contacted the woman earlier, but the woman was unable to talk because a man was there. A deputy went to the residence and arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of driving with a suspended license and violating parole.

• At 6:31 p.m., a caller from the 14000 block of Ballantree Lane reported finding an unknown substance in bags. A deputy responded.

• At 9:12 p.m., a caller from the 21000 block of Pioneer Way reported harassing phone calls. A person had called 11 times that evening.



Wednesday

• At 9:35 a.m., a caller from the 18000 block of Bowman Lake Road reported a group home area had been entered and burglarized. No weapons were stolen. A deputy took a report for burglary.

• At 10:22 a.m., a woman called from Hawaii to report she was possibly assaulted in Dec. 2004 on the 11000 block of Forest View Drive. She said she just found out about it. The caller said she is in the Air Force and is stationed in Hawaii. She said both she and the suspect were in the military when the assault occurred, and the suspect is possibly living in Jacksonville, Fla.

Tuesday

• At 5:01 p.m., a woman called from Park Avenue to report she had asked two juvenile boys to leave the Deer Creek area. Shortly afterward, she heard two shots. The caller was fairly certain the boys had a gun. Police noticed two people took off on foot heading toward Pioneer Park. Police checked the area and were unable to locate the boys.
