The Wastewater Treatment plant at Cascade Shores, a sidewalk on Alta Street, mortgage bonds, a flag honoring service men and women, and a fresh look for the exterior of the county's courthouse and government buildings will be discussed by county supervisors Tuesday.
The Nevada County Board of Supervisors will hold a regular board meeting at 9 a.m. in the Board Chambers of the Eric W. Rood Administrative Center.
Items scheduled for discussion include:
• Request by the Regional Council of Rural Counties to adopt a resolution approving the issuance of qualified mortgage bonds by the CRHMFA Homebuyers Fund.
• Resolution rejecting bids for the Cascade Shores Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements due to insufficient funds available for project completion.
• Request by Supervisor Sue Horne to fly the Blue Star Service Flag at the Rood Center until the end of war or hostilities in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Items on the consent agenda, which are voted on in a package and not discussed, include:
• Resolution awarding bid and contract to Bayview Painting for exterior painting of the Nevada County Courthouse in Nevada City in the amount of $82,533.
• Resolution approving construction documents for re-siding and painting of the Rood Center.
• Resolution awarding bid and contract to KOCH Excavating Inc. for the Alta Street Sidewalk Improvement Project in the amount of $243,712.
